Observership for international medical graduates ( IMGs)

Program Details

Observers will work alongside our family physician in an office setting, participating in episodic and routine patient care. The program involves 4 hours per week for 2 weeks

Eligibility

– Actively practicing International Medical Doctor, OR
– Currently enrolled in an international medical school.

100CAD$ + HST for application and processing fees

Expectations

– This observership is observational only. It is not intended to fulfill credentialing requirements for medical certification. Observers are prohibited from performing the following activities:

– Conducting physical examinations, diagnosing, or treating patients
– Ordering, preparing, or administering medications
– Accessing patient health records independently
– Assisting in surgical procedures or diagnostic interventions
– Obtaining patient consent or providing healthcare advice
– Requesting a letter of recommendation as there will be no hands-on component of this observership.


A certificate of attendance will be provided at the end of the observership.

    Fees: Please note: there will be a processing fee of $100 CAD required before the start of observership for successful candidates.
